The pressure releasing/sustaining valve can effectively relase the pressure that exceeds the safety set point of pilot of pilot valve in the pipeline to preventhe pipeline and equipments from damage. This valve is mainly used for the pressure escaping of the circulating system of fire control testing in the high buildingsto avoid the system trouble because of highest hydraulic pressure, alkeep the water supply pressure of the main valve always above one set value so as toensure the pressure of above main valve water supply area
First, set the opening pressure of the main valve. Loosen the pilot valve locknut, turn the pilot valve screw clockwise, and the screw moves downward. The regulating spring is compressed to apply a certain thrust to the pilot valve core. At this time, the opening pressure of the main valve increases. Turn the pilot valve adjusting screw counterclockwise, the spring pressure is released, the thrust acting on the pilot valve core is reduced, and the opening pressure of the main valve is reduced. The pressure value of the pipeline in front of the main valve can be observed through the pressure gauge. After setting, tighten the jam nut
When the pressure in front of the valve increases, the pressure in the lower chamber of the pilot valve diaphragm also increases. After exceeding the set value, the diaphragm drives the pilot valve core upward, the pilot valve opens, and the water in the upper chamber of the main valve diaphragm is discharged. When the pressure drops, the main valve core opens under the pressure difference between the upper and lower chambers of the diaphragm, the main valve begins to drain, and the pipeline pressure begins to drop
The pressure under the pilot valve diaphragm also decreases, when the pressure decreases below the set value. Under the action of the adjusting spring. The pilot valve core is closed. The pressure in the upper chamber of the main valve diaphragm increases gradually. Because the area of the main valve diaphragm is larger than the area of the main valve core, under the action of the pressure difference between the upper and lower chambers of the diaphragm. The main spool is closed. The main valve stops draining.
1, When setting the opening pressure, gradually increase the pressure in front of the valve. Turn it on at the set value. And record the value of the pressure gauge, and then continue to increase the inlet pressure. Keep the main valve fully open (i.e. the discharge flow of the main valve will not increase). Record the discharge pressure of the main valve. Then gradually reduce the inlet pressure until the main valve is closed, and record the reseating pressure of the valve.
2, Repeat the adjustment for more than two times until the opening pressure of the main valve and the discharge pressure. Until the reseating pressure is stable.
3, When manual pressure relief is required. The pressure relief ball valve on the main valve cover can be opened, and the pressure in the upper chamber of the main valve diaphragm decreases. The main valve is then opened for pressure relief, and the outlet of the pressure relief ball valve should be connected to the drainage ditch.
4, When the opening pressure difference of main valve is p < 0.5MPa, the deviation value is ± 0.02MPa. When p ≥ 0.5MPa, the deviation value is ± 0.04MPa.
